Join us this summer on the Strings ‘n’ Things course, Sabhal Mòr Ostaig’s ‘Sensational Summer String Orchestra’ created by Adam Sutherland and Emma Tomlinson.

Emma and Adam will expertly guide participants through the playing of some epic arrangements of a selection of Scottish-style melodies: simple, effective parts, carefully curated to be both easy to play and highly evocative. Along the way, students will also learn about a whole host of techniques associated with ensemble playing, arranging and playing in large groups.

Open to fiddlers, violists, cellists and double bass players of intermediate to advanced experience, from any genre.

With a short Gaelic session included each day, at all times, a huge emphasis will be placed on having a good time.

Timetable for the Week:

Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 09:30 – 16:30
Wednesday: 09:30 – 15:00 (early finish)
Friday: 10:00 – 12:30
