This new and exciting course has been established for those who are fluent in Gaelic (or very advanced Learners) who have an interest in Creative Writing, in either Prose or Drama.
As part of this course, either working as a group or individually, you will receive instruction on generating and developing ideas, working on structure, character development amongst other aspects, with the aim of having an entire short story or short drama script completed by the end of the week. You will have the opportunity to work on your own and also receive one-to-one tuition with the course tutor.
The course will be under the careful eye and tuition of Alison Lang who has earned herself a reputation in the Gaelic writing world for her pieces of Prose (from short stories to novels) and Drama (for the stage and screen). She has been the Gaelic editor for Sandstone Press, and has also written books for Clàr and Acair Books, as well as a mentor for Scottish Playwrights’ Studio and Scottish Book Trust. She has appeared at the Edinburgh, Ullapool and Aye Wright book festivals, and her books have been shortlisted for Donald Meek and Saltire Society awards.
