Gaelic Level 7 – Online

This course is ideal for advanced learners who have a good understanding of Gaelic and are able to communicate well, demonstrating good speaking and writing skills. The course tutor will use a range of their own materials which will deepen the students’ knowledge of grammar and language techniques. The aims of this level are to introduce students to:

• the future tense of regular verbs and their relative forms;
• inverted infinitive structures involving direct objects;
• the use of the preposition ‘ann’ with possessive adjectives to form ‘nam/nad’ structures in non-abstract contexts.

Students will also develop familiarity with new vocabulary to illustrate these new structures and reinforce structures already introduced.

As part of the course, participants will gain an understanding of grammar, have opportunities to practise conversation skills, learn new language techniques and relevant vocabulary.

Course Delivery

The course consists of nine classes over three days (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday), with three online classes each day:

• Class 1: 09.30 – 10.45
• Class 2: 11.15 – 12.30
• Class 3: 13.30 – 15.00

All classes are delivered via Zoom. Where possible, classes will be limited to 8 students instead of the usual 12.
