This course will look at several areas of learning that complement each other all feeding into a broader understanding of fiddle playing, nourishing a deeper love of the craft. As well as learning some gorgeous new tunes, the classes will take a microscopic look at harmony, rhythm and composing. These will be supported by a range of technical tips on how to improve your overall sound. Expect to emerge feeling more confident and happy with your fiddle playing journey, and a head buzzing with new tunes and excitement.
This course is suitable for intermediate to advanced fiddle players, who are able to play a range of tunes at a good pace with some varying bowing and ornamentation techniques. All tunes will be taught by ear, but sheet music will be provided at the end of the course. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own fiddle, a recording device and an open mind.
Adam comes from Errogie on the south shores of Loch Ness in the Highlands of Scotland. He is one of Scotland’s most exciting fiddle players, composers and teachers in a thriving scene.
