JANUARY 2026
GAELIC LEVEL 2
Additional places now available!
This course is ideal for those who have recently started learning Gaelic, or who have previously done some Gaelic. In this level, you will be introduced to:
- new prepositions, such as ‘anns’ and ‘às’;
- prepositional pronouns, such as ‘aig’ and ‘ann’;
- and comparative structures.

These online evening classes are aimed at intermediate learners. With focus on a different subject each week, these classes provide an opportunity to expand vocabulary and explore idiomatic phrases, whilst building confidence in your use of the language.

This course is ideal for those have an understanding of the Gaelic language at a lower intermediate level and who can hold a more detailed conversation using basic structures. As part of the course, participants will gain an understanding of grammar, have opportunities to practice conversation skills and learn new language techniques and relevant vocabulary.
Beginning 20 January 2026
19:00 – 20:30 every Tuesday for 8 weeks
GAELIC LEVEL 6
This course is ideal for learners who understand Gaelic at an upper intermediate level and who can hold a conversation using more detailed structures. In this level, you will be introduced to:
- past tense structures of regular verbs and irregular verbs in all important forms;
- possession structures;
- more detailed numbering structures;
- and the genitive case with plural nouns.

GAELIC LEVEL 8
This course is ideal for advanced learners who have a strong understanding of Gaelic and are able to communicate well, demonstrating good speaking and writing skills. As part of the course, participants will gain an understanding of grammar, have opportunities to practice conversation skills, learn new language techniques and relevant vocabulary.

BEGINNERS’ GAELIC FOR PARENTS
Are you interested in Gaelic medium education for your children? Would you like to use Gaelic within your home? This course will provide you with basic grammatical structures, vocabulary, phrases and songs which you can use to build a Gaelic environment for your family.

This one-day, online course is aimed at anyone interested in the Gaelic names found in our landscape, for example hill names and other common features like bealach, allt and eilean, and is especially recommended to mountain guides and outdoor instructors.
